Ring the bells and blow the horns

Another year has come and gone

Good days, bad days over now

Only God can show me how

To make the future better than the past

Focused on the things that last

Bringing in new days to treasure

Waking up with grace to measure

Taking time in deep reflection

Reminded of the blessings given

Stirring up a thankful heart

Wondering did I do my part

Another chance to me imparted

Another year to give has started

Lord, help me not to squander chances

Given to me in my circumstances

Let me make each moment count

For eternal blessings from the fount

Let my words and actions matter

And always, my friend, Jesus, flatter

And when He brings across my way

Those whose hope has gone astray

Let me not squander help to mend

And introduce them to my friend.
