Some Gave All!

I WILL SALUTE YOUR PASSING

Rockets red glare give the call to come and celebrate
The many freedoms we enjoy today
Remembering the sacrifice by some
Who gave it all and paid

The highest price a man could give
His very life that I might live
In freedom, peace and much enjoyment
Some still living in deployment

My deepest thanks to all who gave
And those who still are giving
Your service and your dedication
Is greatly appreciated by the living

But “Thank You” doesn’t seem enough
To lift my highest praises
So in honor of the life you gave
I will salute your passing and my flag I’ll raise!
