Making my way up the mountain

What an incredible climb

The view is continually changing

Awesome beauty and landscapes sublime

Taking care to watch every footstep

Guided by hands still unseen

What wonders will still be awaiting

What exciting discoveries supreme

How long will it take to arrive

At the summit and climax the day?

Only God knows the answer

Keep climbing and finish the way

The journey He has set before me

Is not for the faint-hearted or lazy

His manifold wisdom He’s sharing

Cloudy overlooks – no long hazy!

Brilliant sunshine and blue skies inviting

Each traveler will experience this joy

As each new turn presents a new challenge

And new strategies you must deploy

Hold on to this one steady promise

‘With Me you always will be!”

To strengthen and uphold me forever

And from all fear and dismay set me free!
