God has promised us gifts it’s true
And blessing beyond measure
But ask yourselves this question
What is it that you treasure?
Would you rather walk with God
And feel Him close beside you
Or revel in the lap of luxury
Of as easy life with cares so few
Not saying you can’t have it all
For God’s love is abundant and not sparing
Just want to know where the higher
Value rates in all your caring
Yes, the blessings always bring us joy
And relief from daily pressure
But only your very presence, Lord
Will bring us joy beyond measure!
It’s you, Lord, leading, guiding, loving
That gives us everlasting pleasure
Your Presence, Lord, is forever
Our hearts desire and most precious treasure
