Thy Great Light!

THY GREAT LIGHT

Open wide my heart gates
That the King of Glory may come in
Darkness flees with Thy Great Light
And Your light eradicates all sin

It penetrates and illuminates
All blemishes exterminates
Oh, Light of Life, I invite
Your rays to deeply penetrate

Expose the dark and hidden places
That keep my secrets from revealing
Broken, cracked, chipped and marred
Fearful things I’ve been concealing

Let me be open to your loving gaze
Unashamed for you already know my ways
Shine your Holy light upon me, Jesus
And clean before you find my days

Nothing hidden from your presence
No longer robed in gloom, it’s true!
Illuminate my life with Thy Great Light
Unveiled to brightly shine, reflecting you!
