SLEEP ON, DEAR ONE!
Hush, be quiet! My Baby is sleeping Time for some peaceful reflection Of all the many sacred blessings Since he graced my life to perfection! Someone who believes in God And wants to serve Him as I do Someone who is trustworthy and faithful Someone to love, who loves me too! Days of comfort are coming again He brings them with greetings each morning There is peace in his very presence Delight comes and joy without warning! Sleep on, Dear One, and take your rest Into its service, the day is awaiting The needs of others you fill at best Denial of self your life is equating Dear Lord Jesus, give rest to your servant Grant wisdom and peace to his heart Let him feel your gentle arms ‘round him From your purpose and plan not depart Lead and guide and direct him Your love always leading the way I’m so thankful your mercy sustains us His love and Your love fills my day!
