ANOTHER FOURTH – BE GRATEFUL
Another fourth is here now
Reminding us again
Of past day of tears and sorrow
And victories through pain
Oh how we take for granted
The freedoms that we have here
God given in their nature
These gifts that we hold dear
From deeply cherished customs
To family time together
A peaceful afternoon or evening
And warm and sunny weather
Yes, July 4th holds its moments
To cherish and remember
We are a thankful, grateful people
God has been our great defender
While you hold your babies tightly
And enjoy a burger on a bun
Send a prayer or praise to heaven
For your freedoms have been won
By those who willingly gave all
To give those rights to you
Do not forget the sacrifice
And to your country remain true!
