The Pathway

Along life’s many pathways
The road less traveled beckons
“Come walk where no one dares to
Through their fear and trepidation”

To step out of your comfort zone
And feel the wind blow in your hair
And lifting up your eyes to see
My glory and my beauty everywhere

Sometimes the brave thing you must do
Is not the easy, familiar way
But courage urges you to try
And boldly face the day

Adventure and excitement await
Walking with me down this road
There is great joy in the journey
As our walk through life unfolds

So don’t be like every traveler
Who without purpose goes along
Your life has greater meaning
Choose different that the throng

It may not be so easy
To walk a different path
But great rewards await you
As you journey on at last

And as you crest that final hill
Your vision will be clearing
It all was worth the struggle
As Jesus speaks those words endearing

“Well done, my good and faithful child!”
“Your journey now is done,
You chose a path that many don’t
Come with me now and rest, victory has been won!”
